DESIGN - The Royal Wave
INSPIRATION OF DESIGN - The kit features a dominant royal blue base, a colour historically associated with the club's royal origins and location. Adorning this base are intricate vertical patterns inspired by traditional African Zulu motifs, symbolizing the enduring cultural foundation and the powerful 'Usuthu' spirit of AmaZulu FC. These patterns are subtly masked and integrated with a dynamic sea waves graphic, representing the team's proud identity as a Durban-based institution and its coastal home.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER - I'm a 27-year-old native Zulu from kwaMhlabuyalingana, KwaZulu-Natal, currently based in Durban. My professional focus is in visual media, working as a freelance photographer and videographer specializing in content creation for various clients and producing highlight reels. Recently, I've been documenting sports and protests across Durban, capturing diverse narratives within the city. Additionally, I am a graphic designer, bringing a comprehensive skill set to visual communication projects, and I'm also a part-time Engineering and B-Education student.
